We are looking to hire a competent, smart accountant in this real estate company.
Responsibilities
• Record Keeping: Accurately maintain financial records, including transactions, income, and expenses.
• Data Entry: Enter financial data into accounting software or spreadsheets with precision and attention to detail.
• Reconciliation: Reconciled bank statements, ledgers, and financial documents to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Financial Reporting: Generate regular financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Budget Management: Assist in the creation and monitoring of budgets, providing insights into financial performance.
• Payroll Processing: Handle payroll tasks, including calculating wages, taxes, and deductions, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Invoicing and Payments: Issue invoices, track payments, and manage accounts receivable and payable.
• Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to provide insights, trends, and recommendations for improving financial performance.
• Compliance: Stay updated on financial regulations and ensure compliance with relevant laws and standards.
• Communication: Effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders, colleagues, and management.
• Attention to Detail: Pay meticulous attention to detail to avoid errors and ensure accurate financial records.
• Organizational Skills: Manage and organize financial documents, receipts, and other relevant paperwork efficiently.
• Problem Solving: Identify and resolve financial discrepancies or issues promptly.
• Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality of financial information and sensitive data.
• Adaptability: Adapt to changes in accounting standards, software, or company policies.
Requirements and skills:
• BSc/HND in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant degree
• Additional certification ICAN ACA or partly qualified
• Minimum 2 years experience as an Accountant
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting
Principles (GAAP)
• Hands-on experience with accounting software like SAGE 50 accounting
• Great report-writing skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
• Strong organizational and analytical skills Detail oriented
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
• Experience with general ledger functions
NB: The candidate should also be ready to work Mondays to Saturdays and must reside in or around Ajah and its environs.
REMUNERATION:
N150,000 monthly
